AUDITION TAPING INSTRUCTIONS:

Thank you for submitting for the “SCRATCHERS” Virginia Lottery campaign!

FOR YOUR AUDITION: Please record the following tapes as instructed. Please label your tapes YOUR NAME Audition, YOUR NAME Emotions, YOUR NAME Slate etc. ADD FINAL ACT DRAMA TALENT to the end of your file name.

TAPE 1 “Audition”: Please film this in a close up frame (top of head to mid chest). We want two different takes of this scene. One take should be slightly heightened/stylized and one take more understated / natural.

THE SCENE: You are holding the scratch ticket, there is a moment of anticipation. Then you start scratching the ticket in a method unique to you and your character. We want to see a few beats of you scratching the ticket. The scene ends just as you are scratching that final piece; the anticipatory moment before the last spot on the ticket is scratched. END SCENE.

**Please note, we want to see this story on your face in a close up / mid frame. (We don’t actually want to see your hands doing the scratching.) Please hit each of those beats scribed in the scene. Please feel free to use the character descriptions below for inspiration to your unique character and scratching method for two different takes.

TAPE 2 “Emotions”: Please film this in a close up frame (top of head to mid-chest). Please look straight into camera and give us the following emotions:

Cautious Optimism (Anticipation)

Nervous Hesitation (Anticipation)

Joy

Amusement

Intrigued

Shocked

Excited

Contentment

TAPE 3 “SLATE”: Please film this tape in a FULL BODY frame so we can clearly see what you look like. State your name, Height, Current location (City and State), are you a Virginia Resident? Also slate that you are represented by Final Act Drama Talent.

Here is some more info on the spot and the tone. This is a non-speaking role but all roles are on-camera principal featured talent.

The Deadline to submit your tape is FRIDAY 1/30 by 1pm EST. But the sooner the better!

Please send tapes via WeTransfer.com to SPEAKINGROLES@KendallCooperCasting.com and FinalActDrama@gmail.com (WeTransfer is my preferred FREE file sharing service, videos must be in a downloadable format i.e. NOT an unlisted YouTube link.
